We are thrilled to announce a significant addition to our team: Francisco Roldán Sánchez has joined us as an RL Data Scientist and Researcher. His deep expertise in Reinforcement Learning (RL) and AI will be invaluable as we continue to push the boundaries of industrial optimization.
Francisco is joining our blended Optimization team, focusing on the development and implementation of RL-powered Process Optimization Solutions for manufacturers. This work is central to our mission of creating more efficient, adaptive, and autonomous industrial systems.
A Leader in Reinforcement Learning Research
Francisco’s background is marked by cutting-edge research in artificial intelligence. He recently earned his PhD in AI from Dublin, where his doctoral thesis focused on “Sample and time efficient strategies for off-policy reinforcement learning in robotic manipulation tasks.” This specialized work has given him a unique understanding of how to apply sophisticated RL models to complex, real-world physical challenges, ensuring efficiency in both data usage and execution time.
Previously, he attained a MSc in Computer Vision at UAB (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona), building his foundation in advanced ML techniques.
Driving the Future of Industrial Efficiency
His academic rigor and practical focus make him the perfect fit for our Optimization team. In his new role, Francisco will be critical in translating state-of-the-art RL theory into tangible, deployable systems that enhance the performance and sustainability of our clients’ production lines.
He will also help María’s academic activity (Industrial PhD) and Yusef’s scientific publications.
